Tips for a yummy smoothie…
Things to make it easy
Blender of some sorts - whether it be Thermomix, blender, Bullet. It just needs to blend well!
Ice cube trays (preferable silicone)
Freezer
Ice cubes
Frozen fruit such as bananas, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, mango.
We like to cut up portion sizes of watermelon and bananas and freeze them ready to go. Just slice the watermelon and place between layers of baking paper so it doesn't stick together and can be pulled apart when needed. Peel, cut in half and freeze bananas in individual portions.
Have on hand
Fruit of choice such as oranges, pears, nectarines, passionfruit. Whatever is in season is best of course
Vegetables of choice such as avocado, kale, cucumber, celery, spinach
Yoghurt
Coconut water is a great option
Orange Juice - just make sure it's 100% orange juice. We love Nudie OJ
Other bits to make it nutritious
Almond butter
Nut milk
Cashews
Seeds such as pumpkin, flax seeds, sunflower seeds
